If you are looking for a different walking, mountain biking or horse riding challenge well away from the crowds on Pen y Fan, then you should try the Epynt Way.

Walking
The Epynt Way takes the walker around the edge of Mynydd Epynt and Mynydd Bwlch y Groes. It crosses sections of high moorland and deep river valleys, affording stunning views at various points across the Black Mountains, Cambrian Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Carmarthen Fans.

Mountain Biking
If you fancy some demanding riding well off the beaten track in wild, remote countryside away from all the crowds at the popular spots then take on the challenge that is the Epynt Way. This is a 65km route around the circumference of the Sennybridge Training Area.

Riding
The Epynt Way provides 65 km of riding with links to bridleways off the Mynydd Epynt and multiple rides on tracks in Crychan Forest.
It crosses a variety of terrain giving stunning views to the south to the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains to the east and Cambrians to the north. -
Visitor Centre and Families
Enjoy a family trip out to the Epynt Way Visitor Centre located on the B4519 road between Upper Chapel (LD3 9RG) and Garth (LD4 4AS). The Visitor Centre occupies one of the original farmhouses that were vacated during World War 2 when land on the Epynt was compulsorily purchased for wartime military training.
